SurveyMonkey, Typeform and Qualtrics often collect sensitive personal data (customer feedback, HR data, patient answers) on infrastructure subject to US law, under the CLOUD Act. LimeSurvey hosted in Europe keeps those answers on European soil, under European law, and its survey pages load no third-party tracker. The software is open source and re-internalizable whenever you decide.

Frequently asked questions
Can I remind only the people who have not answered?
Yes, that is LimeSurvey's strong point. Each participant receives a unique link, a token. The software therefore knows who has answered and who has not, and you send a reminder to the non-respondents only, as many times as needed. Most recent open source tools cannot do this.
Are the respondents' answers hosted in Europe?
Yes. Your LimeSurvey instance and its database are hosted on European servers operated by Bunker. The survey pages load no third-party script on the client side.
Can I keep the answers anonymous?
Yes, by enabling the anonymized-responses mode. LimeSurvey then keeps the invitation table separate from the response table, which lets you remind by token while keeping the answers anonymous, with no link between the participant's identity and their answer. Useful for an employee pulse survey or a GDPR-sensitive study.
Can I connect LimeSurvey to our tools?
Yes, through the RemoteControl2 API over JSON-RPC and answer export in CSV, Excel, SPSS or R. You automate survey creation and result retrieval from your systems.
Is Bunker affiliated with the publisher of LimeSurvey?
No. Bunker provides managed hosting of the open-source LimeSurvey software (GPLv2-or-later license) and is not affiliated with LimeSurvey GmbH. "LimeSurvey" is a trademark of its publisher, referenced here to designate the operated software. Since the license imposes no mandatory visible attribution, the offer can be served white-label, without the LimeSurvey branding.
